This month we focus on having a “No quit, go for it, attitude.” Perseverance is critical for learning and success in any endeavor. It is easy to quit things when it gets challenging and often this seems like the answer. However, think back to your past and realize how quitting something has had a lasting, negative impact or at least might have:

The list goes on and on. The idea in martial arts is to persevere and keep going in spite of challenges. There is an old saying in the martial arts and in fact we have this posted on our wall: “A black belt is a white belt who never quit!”
Don’t let your child quit an activity until they have reached the end goal (end of the season, grade, or final accomplishment such as black belt, highest honor, graduation, etc.) There is such a great satisfaction in seeing things through until the very end and final accomplishment!
